Abeka® Math Curriculum
Grades 1-12

Abeka Math takes a traditional, spiral approach with a biblical focus. Each year builds upon the previous while continuing to review. Elementary math lays a solid foundation for higher-level mathematics and emphasizes both oral and written drills. At the lower grade levels, lesson instruction includes visual aids, games, and activities.
In upper levels, lessons are more independent but still teacher-directed. Middle school consists of Intermediate Mathematics (7th grade) and Pre-Algebra (8th grade), which introduce algebra and geometry. High school courses start with Algebra 1 and end with Precalculus. Consumer Math and Business Math are also available. Concepts are taught in a clear, logical order with detailed explanations and step-by-step examples.
Key Program Features:
- Spiral approach with concepts introduced and revisited with increasing complexity
- New concepts are taught in clear, logical order with detailed explanations and step-by-step examples
- Daily or weekly timed test and speed drills encourage rapid recall of math facts
- Math lessons and story problems often relate to Scripture and biblical principles
Abeka® Science Curriculum
Grades 1-12

Abeka Science seeks to instill an academically solid, God-centered understanding of all branches of science from the early elementary years through high school and focuses on mastery of the sciences from a young-earth approach. Following a spiral approach to learning, students review previously learned concepts each year.
In grades 1–6, science and health are separate, complementary courses. You may choose to do one or both together. The lesson plans allow for science to take up the first 3 quarters of the year, ending with health in the last quarter. Middle school and high school courses are rigorous and college-preparatory, assuming labs and experiments. Teacher Guides and Lab Keys are necessary for upper-level courses.
Key Program Features:
- Taught from a biblical worldview with a young-earth approach
- Combines Science and Health courses for a full year of science in grades 1–6
- Labs are integrated into upper levels (lab kits available starting in 3rd grade)
Abeka® History Curriculum
Grades K-12

Abeka History provides a solid grade-leveled study of history that incorporates a biblical view with a focus on American patriotism for grades K–2. Students will see God’s hand in history and benefit from learning about past events so they can impact the future in a useful way. A unique feature of this history curriculum is that Geography is also interwoven in the lessons for grades 3–10 so students can make connections to the history they are studying.
Grades K–4 focus primarily on America, giving students a solid foundation of American history and the great people who have helped shape our country in a positive manner. Grades 5–8 cover both World and American history, along with Geography. The high school course progression is Geography, World History, U.S. History, and finally, American Government and Economics (both semester-long courses).
Key Program Features:
- History from a biblical perspective with a conservative, patriotic point of view
- Geography is integrated into history courses for grades 3–10
- A traditional approach with spiral teaching from year to year
- Books are sold individually and in Parent and Child Kits
Abeka® Bible Curriculum
Grades PK-12

Abeka Bible is a very visual program that uses their custom “Flash-a-Cards” (large, illustrated Bible visuals) in the elementary years through 8th grade to teach the theme-based curriculum. Each year’s study systematically overviews key characters, events, and concepts from the Old and New Testaments. Teachers are given plentiful guidance: lesson plan helps and procedures, nearly scripted lessons, reproducible tests with answers, and more.
Middle school course choices include Flash-a-Card Exodus, Life of Christ, Joshua and Judges, Book of Acts, and a textbook option: Proverbs. High school students have year- and semester-long options to choose from, such as Genesis, Revelation, Kings of Israel, Bible Doctrines, Jesus and His Followers, and Life Management. There is a strong emphasis on Scripture memorization.
Key Program Features:
- Uses the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible
- Elementary grades through 8th grade use Flash-a-Card sets, while upper middle school and high school use textbooks
- Grade-level kits available for elementary grades with Flash-a-Cards, Bible Curriculum guide, Songbook, Song CD, and Sword Drills
