Covering the first eleven chapters of Genesis students are introduced to what the Bible is, how to ground their faith in scripture, and learn about the creation of humankind, their sin, life in result of the fall, and God’s redemptive plan through it all. Students will need their Bibles (KJV) for this course as they will be diving deep into the Word. The final chapter is all about the need for apologetics and preparing students to defend their faith. The Book of Genesis provides a solid foundation for the development of a biblical worldview. This course takes an expository, in-depth look at the events and the effects of Creation, the Fall of man, the Flood of Noah’s day, and the Tower of Babel. With a focus on origins, worldview, and an introduction to apologetics, students will understand what they believe, why they believe it, how they can apply their beliefs in daily living, and how they can share biblical truths with others. The study is enhanced with Dig Deeper sections to allow for further study of related topics and My Worldview prompts to articulate personal application.

Category Description for Abeka Bible Grade 12

The focus and theme of the twelfth grade Abeka Bible is on the beginning and the end. First semester focuses on Genesis: Creation. Fall, Flood, Babel (260 pgs., pb) covering the foundations of scripture, the creation, first people and their sin, the flood, the tower of Babel, and the need for apologetics. This is a great course to pick up as a first-time introduction to Bible as the first chapter covers what the Bible is, the impact of the Bible, and then introduces Genesis and the beginnings of God's Word. Second semester focuses on the Book of the Revelation: Church History Lives of Great Missionaries and The Cults (250 pgs., pb) with discussions on the end times, the relevancy of the Churches in Revelation, the rapture, and the tribulation. Designed as a 4-day/week course, and featuring a spiral learning approach, lessons follow a structure of: prayer; verse memorization, teach, and review (scripture references in the KJV).

Each course comes with Teacher Editions of the text in full, with helpful teaching guidance's, scope and sequences, study questions and answers, tips for quizzes, and daily plans (these daily plans are outlines, not scripted lessons). The full-color, non-consumable Student Text also has a corresponding Student Quizzes/Test booklet, and Teacher Quiz/Test Key booklet available.
