Available for families who already own the Math-U-See Integral Block Kit, the Math-U-See Set (no Integer Blocks) includes the Math-U-See Beta Student Workbook and Tests, Math-U-See Beta Online Instruction with Video, and the Math-U-See Beta Instruction Manual. If your family is new to Math-U-See, we also offer the Math-U-See Beta Set (with Integer Blocks), which includes all the required components. Optionally, the Math-U-See Beta DVD is available for families who prefer to use DVD instruction instead of online instructional videos.

Category Description for Math-U-See Beta

Mastery of place value and using it to add/subtract-specifically multi-digit addition and subtraction. Additional topics include telling and writing time by hours and minutes, adding and subtracting US currency, measuring and estimating length with inches/feet and centimeters/meters, comparison of numbers and lengths, perimeter of polygon, and interpretation of data in plots and graphs.

All lessons follow a similar format – watch the DVD lesson (parent first and then child/parent), work through lesson examples in the instruction manual together, and complete worksheets. Lessons conclude with a test. Cumulative unit tests are scheduled regularly to assure students retain previous teaching. The course concludes with a final test that covers all concepts taught.
