Transitioning
children from basic skill mastery and simple literature, the third grade Memoria Press Classical Core Curriculum offers students a moderate pacing
into the advanced workload common in the classical grammar school. The beauty
of this approach is children still receive a challenging classical education
while building the knowledge and confidence necessary for their future
classical studies. With this moderated approach, students will take two years
to complete D’Aulaires’ Greek Myths, Latina Christiana, Christian Studies I,
and States & Capitals. To complete the Read-Aloud portion of the
curriculum, you will need the weekly read-alouds and can choose from either novels or picture books. These are available in convenient
sets. You may also be able to find the recommended books at your local library.
Alternatively, many of these great books may already be on your bookshelf.
Please note, if you did not use the Memoria Press Classical Curriculum in Grade
2, you will need to add the Latina Christiana Flashcards.
