This beginner workbook series from Teacher Created
Resources is a simple place to start a child who is showing an interest in
learning. Maybe they just want to “do school” like their siblings but aren’t
quite at the point to dive into a reading or math curriculum. The pages are
inviting with friendly instructions in black and white. Try to complete a page
a day and build up a routine.
Learn to Read builds connections between letters and
sounds in preparation for phonics instruction. Learn both long and short
vowels, beginning and ending sounds, and rhyming words. Clever illustrations

Publisher's Description of Watch Me Learn: Learn to Read
Watch Me Learn: Learn to Read is a great starter workbook. The book includes 4 pages devoted to each vowel and 2 pages devoted to each consonant letter. Young learners are encouraged to trace and write each letter and to focus on the sounds each letter makes. Vowel pages include worksheets for both short and long vowel practice. Additional pages address rhyming words, filling in missing beginning and ending letters, and adding missing vowels to complete words. These skill-building activities and practice pages are great for independent work in class, homework assignments, or extra practice to get ahead.
