This beginner workbook series from Teacher Created
Resources is a simple place to start a child who is showing an interest in
learning. Maybe they just want to “do school” like their siblings but aren’t
quite at the point to dive into a reading or math curriculum. The pages are
inviting, with friendly instructions in black and white. Try to complete a page
a day and build up a routine.
This workbook focuses on recognizing and understanding
numbers 1–20. There are a lot of directions given, and you will want to point
out what each one means (circle, cross out, match, etc.) Follow up daily
activities with good discussion! Whimsical illustrations add a bit of fun and
