This Using Language Well Book 2
Bundle provides the teacher component and the consumable student book for
one year of English usage, grammar, and spelling instruction. Lessons are
geared to be short (about 10-15 minutes at 2 lessons weekly). Tasks are simply explained.
Students practice skills by applying them to different quotations, providing
practice in targeted skills. Students will engage with dialogue, paragraphs,
stanzas, and more. At the course beginning, passages studied are shorter, such
as a quotation from Indira Gandhi, “You cannot shake hands with a clenched
fist.” Midway through, students will read the entire poem of William Blake’s, The
Lamb, or an entire paragraph on the “The Intelligence of Rats.” This course
is self-contained, and the student book provides writing space. The student and
teacher book are also sold separately. Check these individual components for
sample pages and details. For a complete language arts program, add reading
studies & other needed skills. Directions are in the student book; answers
and teaching aids are in the teacher book. ~Ruth
