Using Language Well Level 2 allows you as parent to customize spelling, writing, and grammar lessons. Each lesson should take 10-15 minutes, and will be mostly independent. Parents will give guidance in the spelling portion. This level encourages a guided-discovery approach: encouraging students to look for language patterns. Students will work on synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, complex alphabetizing, and more. Nouns and verbs are introduced. Students will learn how to study unfamiliar words by working on essential skills, then moving toward growth and the end goal of a strong speller. At this level, students will move from mental composition to some written narrations, aiming at one written narration per week. Rubrics will help you carefully target corrections.
