Some of the activities and experiments your student will complete in this course are playing a predator with colored candies that hide in camouflage, acting like a primate to judge depth perception, discovering why giraffes have high blood pressure, identifying animal tracks, dissecting owl pellets and its last meal, and much more!

All activities and projects in this course use easy-to-find household items and truly make the lessons fun!

The Zoology 3 Notebooking Journal provides everything your student needs to complete this study of land animals. It will serve as your child’s place to complete every assignment.

Travel the world to learn more about the incredible world of land animals in Exploring Creation with Zoology 3 from Apologia. Following the Genesis 1 (verse 30) pattern, land animals are separated into three categories to study: wild animals, livestock, and crawling creatures. The beautifully illustrated Textbook provides 14 lessons. While no schedule is included in the textbook, the author anticipates lessons taking about 2 weeks to complete. (For those wanting a predetermined schedule, there is one found in the optional Notebooking Journal). Within the Textbook are all the lesson readings and related activities, What Do You Remember? comprehension questions, lesson supply lists for activities, and the answers to the comprehension questions. Numerous household or easily found items are needed to complete the hands-on activities. Students will need a notebook (3-ring with looseleaf paper or spiral bound) or the optional Notebooking Journal to record their learning. There are no tests at this level. Purchase the Textbook and/or Notebooking Journal separately or see the Exploring Creation with Zoology 3 Advantage Set, which includes both the Textbook and Notebooking Journal.

Please note, the 2nd edition Textbook and Notebooking Journal are not compatible with the 1st edition Text and Notebooking Journal.
