BJU Press
Science for Grade 5 offers a teacher-directed approach to science that aligns
with state and national standards, including the NGSS- from a Christian
worldview! Topically, students will learn physical science, life science
(ecosystems and the human body), and earth and space science (biomes, weather,
minerals and rocks, fossils and dinosaurs, solar system/moon/stars). Hands-on
activities are integral using common household and specialized science
equipment that may be easily found at a science supply company. The Student Text is visually appealing with STEM activities and Biblical
themes woven throughout. Ample support for the teaching-parent is found in the Teacher’s Edition. Separate Activities and Assessments have their own Answer Keys, so families can choose to use
the full course or simply add components that best fit their needs. Families
wanting to use the full course will appreciate the complete Science 5 Homeschool Kit. Numerous updates and revisions have been made in the
5th edition, so it is not compatible with previous editions.
