Everything you need for one student to take this course, including consumable assessments (3 grammar and five composition, with two comprehensive unit tests). This assessment book also includes paragraph and composition resources, checklists, and multiple graphic organizers. In this course, the student and teacher material work together to build student composition skills, with the student empowered to be more independent. The consumable spiral student text lays flat, and efficiently and visually guides students through the process of learning from the daily video lessons and then practicing applying those skills. The Teacher Handbook provides ready access to answers and course guidance.
Students begin the course focusing on sentence-level skills, such as developing quality word choice and vivid language while handling common writing and grammar problems. Then they’ll briefly review expository, argumentative, and compare/contrast paragraphs. Then on to essays, where students will write personal, expository, argumentative, and compare/contrast essays. Students will develop their own voice and apply it to each of these writing modes. The final 15 lessons help students systematically write a research paper and create an oral presentation. After your order processes, you’ll receive an email directly from EIW™ for the required digital streaming video instruction and additional digital products (student e-book, teacher e-handbook, and alternative strategies for struggling students). The full course is also available without assessments. ~ Ruth
