Goliath has been defeated. David has been hiding in the
wilderness, running for his life, but it is time for him to take his rightful
place as King of Israel. Benaiah has fallen into rank with the “outlaws” of
David. King Saul and his son have perished, but a new enemy has risen. Word has
reached the giants that Goliath and Zerenath have been slain, and they seek
vengeance for their people—putting the safety of all Benaiah holds dear at risk.
Kingdoms throughout the land of Israel are seeing the rise of this great
kingdom and seek to bring its end. Benaiah finds himself as a fierce warrior of
God. The book concludes with the death of Amasa, the betrayal of Joab, Adonijah
trying to take the throne from a dying David, and the declaration that “Joab
must be stopped, it is time to fight!” 246

Publisher's Description of Warrior: Book Two - Tale of Benaiah
Benaiah has joined David’s band of outlaws and, in the process, has
become a mighty warrior. When David finally comes to the throne of
Israel, Benaiah and his family settle down for a life of peace. But
little do they know; the true battle is only beginning. The family of
Goliath seeks revenge, David’s heart is distracted by temptations, and
the unity of David’s Mighty Men is pushed to its limit. When David does
the unthinkable, Benaiah is faced with the fiercest challenge of his
life. David is the Lord’s anointed, but justice must be done. What will
Benaiah do when all he holds dear is threatened or lost?
Follow the heroic narrative of Benaiah, the up-and-coming
priest-turned-warrior-of-God, as he is faced with an unthinkable decision of
loyalty. This 3-part tale is a fictional telling of real biblical characters in
the David storyline found in Scripture. Priest covers the
beginning of Benaiah’s coming of age and his learning to lean on the
understanding of God to guide his decisions and heart. In this story, he is
faced with choosing between his loyalty to the current king and the one who has
just received God’s anointing. Warrior picks up
Benaiah’s story as David officially takes the throne and battles rage throughout
the land of Israel. King David leans on Benaiah as his warrior. Book 3, General,
will pick up as the throne of Israel is passed to Solomon, as in the biblical
story. Book 3 will be coming soon! This is a Christian fiction series
parents can also enjoy alongside their middle/high school readers. ~Rebecca
