Real Science-4-Kids (Gravitas Publications)

Description

Taking an atom first approach, Real Science 4 Kids (RS4K), was written to give children the framework necessary to learn and enjoy science. As children are introduced to chemistry first, they learn that science is about the “why” (causes) and not just the “what” (observations) of science. Real Science 4 Kids has several options to best meet your homeschool needs. Focus on Science, which contains Elementary and Middle School options, is a unit study program that focuses on one subject at a time (chemistry, biology, physics, etc.) Each book covers a semester of instruction. The Exploring the Building Blocks of Science Series was originally written in response to customer requests for grade level, year-long programs. This series has been rewritten and renamed the Science Series. The Science Series is essentially an updated Building Blocks of Science series with updated experiments, referred to as RATATAZ. The RATATAZ experiments are built upon a multimodal learning approach: R-read, A-ask, T-test, tinker, try, A-answer, and TAZ - talk, tell & dazzle, which focuses on following the scientific method and creative problem solving.
