Part One of the America History Comics covering the years 1620–1783
touches on the events of this new land and notable people. Every section starts
with a breakdown and guide to notable characters and is presented from the
viewpoint of the leaders at that time. Historical context is provided in blue
boxes throughout and the combination of dialogue and illustrations moves the
story along. America had a fairly violent start as a country, and that is
depicted in this graphic novel. Part Two is coming and will cover the forging
of the new independent country up through the Civil War. 340 pgs, paperback.
