This Apologia Zoology 2 Lab Kit makes it easy to get labs done! No need to run around gathering supplies each week – everything is organized and ready to go. Just grab the labeled bag and get started! You will need to supply some basic household items which aren’t feasible to include in the kit – such as dirt, a hair dryer, empty soup cans, a banana, etc., but these are clearly listed out for you, week-by-week.

This kit is not a stand-alone; it pairs with the Apologia Zoology 2, 2nd Edition Textbook, which is required to complete labs and investigations. Includes over 100 items (like a foam paint brush, plaster of paris, ring magnets, modeling clay, etc.) that you won’t have to run around and find. A great way to streamline science labs this year!

If your children enjoy a fun, hands-on approach to learning, then this activity driven course will be engaging from cover to cover.

So that you will understand the organization and contents of this kit, please look through these introductory notes and comments. While we strive to include as many supplies as possible, it is impossible to include every item that will be needed. We assess the inclusion of each activity, or item, based on cost, long term availability of the item, allergy exposure, and ease of distribution. This is an incredible course filled with wonderful things to explore. 

Reading the Lesson Bag labels

Supplies are organized into bags according to the text’s lesson numbers. Supplies for lesson one are contained in bag one, etc. Because many items are used for more than one activity, each label not only identifies the items in the bag, but also directs you to the location of additional items that you will need. By returning each reusable item to its original lesson bag, the labels will direct you through the kit with ease. The labels also reveal the items that you will need to provide.

You will find that many activities require not only time and organization, but also require items that you will need to provide.  Once you have everything ready to go, we believe that your study through this text will be a rewarding, informative, and enjoyable way of learning many new things about our Creator and the Swimming Creatures He has made.

Please note: The instructions for all the experiments are contained in the textbook. The textbook is available separately if needed. No instructions for doing the experiments are in the Kit.

This lab kit is for the 2nd edition textbook only, it is not compatible with the 1st edition book.
