Description

Publisher's Description of All About Math Level 1 Teacher's Manual
All About Math
Level 1 is the first level of five in a delightful, multisensory program that carefully builds children's understanding of how our number system works, moving them from counting to adding and subtracting two-digit numbers and solving story problems.
The All About Math Teacher's Manual will feel familiar and like an old friend to those who are accustomed to All About Reading and All About Spelling. The layout is the same, with each lesson starting with a Before You Begin section to prepare you for what will be taught, then moving into Review of previous concepts before the New Teaching is presented. Lessons are open-and-go and fully scripted for busy parents, teachers, and tutors so that you will know exactly what to say and do to make the concepts understandable for your student.
Category Description for All About Math
All About Learning is known for their comprehensive reading and spelling programs, and they are now offering a brand-new math program! All About Math uses the same strategy as reading and spelling: the lessons are short (20 minutes), open-and-go, and multi-sensory. Level 1 is available now, Level 2 will be available later this year, and Levels 3–5 the following year. Topics covered in this level include counting, identifying, and writing numbers to 100, addition and subtraction, story problems, comparing numbers, and measuring. Because of the mastery approach, the levels do not correspond with grade levels. A Daily Review Tracker records skills learned, ensuring students master foundational concepts before moving on. Components include a teacher’s manual and student packet. The teacher’s manual includes scripted lessons with daily review. Using a fun bunny theme, the student packet includes Hop Into Math Activity Book, Brinda’s Math Tools (number cards, dot cards, 10-frame, and more), and themed stickers. One manipulative kit for all grade levels is available to purchase separately.
