These notebook pages are filled with various fun activities such as reading and answering questions, filling in the blanks, drawing and labeling, matching, true/false statements, optional cutting and pasting to make little booklets, and more. Students are also encouraged to use a separate notebook to answer some questions or do story writing. The experiment pages list the materials needed and instructions to complete the lab along with a lab sheet with questions to record data. A short quiz includes four multiple choice questions, two true/false questions, and an open answer question after every chapter. The final exam is at the end of the book. Real Science 4 Kids Science is the newest science program from Gravitas Publications. Similar in content to Exploring the Building Blocks of Science, the author introduces chemistry first, followed by biology, physics, geology, and astronomy. The beautiful hardcover textbook presents complex science concepts in a way kids will understand. Textbooks are written at a slightly advanced reading level so parents should be reading the text with the student if using the books corresponding to the grade level - unless the student can read and comprehend the text independently. Throughout the textbook are engaging illustrations, chapter summaries, and pronunciation for science vocabulary.
