Earth
Science & Astronomy for the Grammar Stage from Elemental Science is a 36-week classical study of
our Earth and our solar system. Children will be fascinated as they pour over
visually attractive encyclopedias, watch hands-on demonstrations, and perform
simple yet effective hands-on activities. The course is well-laid out and easy
to use for parents and kids alike. Topically students begin the year studying
the earth, maps, earthquakes, volcanoes, rocks and the rock cycle, ecosystems,
and climate concerns throughout the first semester. They then will learn about
the solar system including a look at all the planets and dwarf planets. They
also learn about stars, constellations and satellites, and complete the year with
a scientist biography. Course requires the Earth Science & Astronomy for the Grammar Stage Teacher
Guide, the spine
resources, and student materials. We offer a printed Earth Science & Astronomy for the Grammar Stage Student
Workbook. If you
prefer lapbooking, a PDF of Lapbook Templates is available from the publisher. Written
to be religiously neutral, the recommended resource books may reference
evolution or an old earth timeline.
