Latin Alive! Book 1 Teacher Edition (Revised)

Description

Latin Alive! is a middle school (and early high school) Latin program from Classical Academic Press made for beginners. Chapters are grouped into 5 units, with each unit ending with a reading portion that includes some history of ancient Rome and the world affected by Rome. Students love this part!

Whether you are teaching a co-op, classroom, or a student at home, you will need the Teacher Edition. Each student will need a consumable Student Edition (sku 030933). These are not reproducible.

Students learn the basics, including classical pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, translating, speaking, Roman history (in English), and more!

Unit review chapters resemble the format of the reading comprehension portion of the National Latin Exam and the multiple-choice section of the AP Latin exam.

What’s different in the 2024 revision?

  • Entire series now offers a better pace (schole – restful learning approach)
  • Now 22 chapters instead of 29 
  • Some chapter readings have been shortened
  • More, and longer, exercises to practice grammar and reading added (all at the teacher’s discretion)
