Write Away Student Handbook
Through age-appropriate lessons, students learn the process of writing from prewriting through revising and editing. Sentences and paragraphs are taught, as are the forms of writing (personal, subject, research, story and poetry). Students are taught how to find information using the library and computer, reading/phonics skills including reading graphics and new words, reading to understand, using phonics, making contractions, and how to use a glossary. Speaking and Listening as well as Learning and Thinking Skills are covered.
