Category Description for Generations Math
Approaching math from a God-centered, discipleship view, Generations Math focuses on mastery with periodic spiral review. The course is parent-teacher centric, with just one book offering the student worksheets and parent guidance. Each book contains a pacing guide (in Grade K) or a suggested daily schedule (in Grades 1-3). Beginning in 1st grade, a brief introduction with direct teaching time and a short prayer are found at the start of each lesson. Colorfully illustrated, the student pages are interesting and easy to use. Students learn grade-level concepts and how to recognize God's mathematical patterns in the world. Worth mentioning is that some writing lines and numbered coloring pages may be small for budding writers. Parents may want to use 3/4" lined (or grid) paper, especially at the Kindergarten level. Workbooks are consumable and not reproducible. Answer Keys are included and pages are perforated for easy removal. Some household items and a few math manipulatives are required. This up-and-coming math series offers homeschooling families a solid math education and equips them to fulfill a biblical discipleship vision for their children.
