Description

God Made Plants from Generations is a biblically based, young earth curriculum that teaches young children through age-appropriate text, vibrant illustrations, and hands-on activities. There are nine units with four chapters each, for 32 weeks of learning. Through the Text children learn various aspects of plants from structures and pollination to photosynthesis, genetics, and plants as food. Children also learn about different biomes: grassland, deciduous and coniferous forests, tropical rain forests, aquatic freshwater and the saltwater biomes. Memory verses and a hymn are also included. The final unit guides your family in making a small garden. Parents are encouraged to review the suggested “gardening jobs” schedule at the beginning of the unit to plan their year accordingly. God Made Plants is a fun, engaging introduction to botany for young elementary children. Required to complete the course is the God Made Plants Activity Book.

Publisher's Description of God Made Plants Textbook

The best way to introduce the wonder of God’s world of plants, forests, and gardens to a 6-9 year old child is by bright pictures, delightful descriptions, simple and clear explanations, and hands- on life applications. Intended as a basic, yet thorough introduction to plants, this primary course is produced by Tamela Sechrist — homeschooling mom, consummate gardener, enthusiastic biologist, and committed follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that your child will find this work engaging and exciting, and that he or she become a lifelong enthusiast of God’s amazing world of plants!

Each unit contains three chapters introducing a new element of God’s creation of plants, with a fourth chapter describing a biome.
