Phonetic concepts introduced and reviewed are long vowels with silent e, vowel digraphs (ie, oe, ee, oa, ai, ea), vowel digraphs plus “r”, and sentence construction. The illustrations are black and white with large, printed words. The inside cover of each reader displays a “focus concept” list of words that will be covered in that reader.
