Excellent for my 3rd grader
This was recommended by a friend. So much better than a typical grammar course. They practice everything over and over all year, adding to it slowly. Very very doable. My daughter usually does it in the car while I am running errands, then I come back and check it with her. I love it too. It is so much better than one week on nouns, the next on verbs, etc... as it becomes everyday simple practice. I feel like this can be used with creative people (like my daughter, who natural hates math and grammar rules) better than anything else I've seen. Also, I know of very mathematical logical kids who love it. Definitely continuing this series

Excellent for a reluctant writer
Fix It Grammar is just what my reluctant writer needed to lay a foundation for how to become a writer. Each lesson builds up to the next, and before one knows it, a well written properly punctuated paragraph appears. It has helped us tremendously without frustration from student or teacher!

Best. Grammar. Ever.
We have toiled through grammar for several years with a different program and are thrilled to have found this one! The approach is easy and fun, the story is interesting and uses quality sentences, and best of all my girls no longer dread grammar! I highly recommend this program!!!

Enjoying it
My daughter (9) is enjoying doing this. I am finding it an effective way to teach grammar so far. I just wish the vocabulary words were ones that are used more frequently in our speech today.

This just looks so simple, pleasant and fun but highly educational. A perfect little vitamin of a lesson to mix in with our school day and really lay some solid foundation. We'll be adding Fix It Grammar 1 to FLL and WWE Levels 4.

My child finished all four levels of First Language Lessons for the Well Trained Mind. I didn't want to dive into another really heavy grammar course, but I wanted something to keep her practicing what she knew. It's been a good fit, she's not losing too much of what she leaned and she's also getting a good dose of vocabulary and copywork.

Our family really likes Fix-it! Seldom can it be said of young men that they want to work ahead in grammar, but with this program, my boys do. They thoroughly enjoy the story format, but the daily repetition of principles helps them to retain what they're learning.

I selected Fix-It Grammar: The Nose Tree for my 3rd grade son because it has been a great fit for my 5th grade daughter who thought grammar workbooks like Easy Grammar and Spectrum Language Arts were so boring. We love that the Nose Tree is a story that builds each day and introduces grammar concepts in a more interesting and meaningful way by being connected to the story. Well done, IEW!

I have a sixth grader and was wondering which book I should start her in. The Nose(book 1) or Robin Hood(Book 2)?
A shopper on Feb 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't have a lot of experience with this but I would say either one could be fine. I used The Nose Tree for all three of mine last year (5th, 7th and 9th) because we were completely new to the curriculum and it was also easier to only have one level. Now this year my 3rd grader is doing it. The curriculum is fairly straightforward so I think either one could work.
Do you need the teacher manual with this book?
A shopper on Sep 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I found the teacher's manual essential. Yet, if you purchase the teacher's manual you can print the student's manual with a link provided by the publisher. I didn't prefer to print the material so I ordered the student's workbook.
