Sixth Grade Math with Confidence teaches concepts
over 16 units with deep understanding and more independent skill practice.
Hands-on activities and games add some fun! As math becomes more challenging,
parent/teacher support is even more helpful, guided, and clear. Review lessons
on fractions and decimals come up in units 2 and 8. The Instructor
Guide, Student Workbook Part A and Student Workbook Part B are
required and available separately or in a set. A few household items such as
tape and scissors are required for your math tool kit. The optional enrichment
lessons (which kids enjoy) suggest you have the book What’s the Point of
Math? from DK Publishing. Expect lessons to take 10-15 minutes of
parent-led instruction followed by 20-30 minutes of independent work.
