Description

Like the Kindergarten book, Level 1 presents historical events through the lens of various individuals in history, from Bible times to the 1900s. Each chapter is 4-5 pages and is filled with historical photographs, illustrations, graphics, and maps. Sentences are short and concepts are explained at a level appropriate for a young child. 

This text covers a broad scope of people across many places and times. Historical figures are introduced chronologically and include Marcus Aurelius, Saint Patrick, Alfred the Great, Martin Luther, Johann Sebastian Bach, and David Livingstone. Each chapter ends with a section titled “Faith Lessons” which includes direct application and biblical instruction. Scripture verses are included at the beginning and end of each chapter. Throughout the text, the authors emphasize the importance of God’s Word, God’s provision in their lives, and the power of prayer. Use with the Story of Jesus’ People Activity Book.
