It was recommended for the labs in the Human Body textbook. The specimens were good quality and complimented the textbook labs nicely.

We chose this because my daughter will need to do dissections with her human anatomy course, and my science-teacher husband said they were a fine deal and to just get them this way.

Is each specimen individually packaged?
A shopper on Nov 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes.
The elementary kids at our co-op helped dissect the fetal pig with the students in the Advanced Biology class last year.
Are these preserved with the process that replaces formaldehyde with water and then with a glycol solution so that they don't smell?
User on May 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the process you describe is the process that is used to preserve these specimens. It's labeled Nasco-Guard. They are 99.7% formaldehyde free.
