Product Description:

A personal record of major events and people encountered in history. Designed to be a record-keeping place, this book gives the framework; you supply the content. With a classical orientation (The very limited written content includes a quotation from Livy.) and an assumption of Biblical events (no actual Biblical or Christian content), the book consists of pages with lined and blank columns. Each two page spread covers a designated period of time. Each page has two columns. The two center columns of a two-page spread are lined (.25 lines) and the two outer columns are blank (for drawings or attaching pictures). Time designations are in the upper left or right corners (outer corners) of each page. Designated time periods differ per two-page spread and are as follows: 5000 - 2500 BC; then 2500 2200 BC. Each two-page spread for the rest of the book is marked as follows: 2200 1 BC (100 years each spread 23 spreads); 1 1500 AD (100 years); 1500 1800 AD (50 years); 1800 1900 AD (20 years); 1900 2030 AD (10 years). Interspersed at appropriate places are two-page spreads labeled "In the Beginning; "Men Begin to Multiply; "A Flood of Water; and "In the Fullness of Time. Eleven pages for maps and notes conclude the book. 50 pgs. pb ~ Janice

This is a nicely formatted timeline book, strongly bound, and with space on each page for both original illustrations and written content by the student. We use this as a notebook supplement for our 4 year cycles of history in grammar school (grades 2-6).

I saw a review of this Timeline notebook and I liked the layout and the price. I needed to buy for more than one child at the same time so this price was far more affordable than some of the other wonderful options available.

It is compatible with a Charlotte Mason style approach, it's easier than making your own, and it is sturdier than the basic composition book.

Are all the pages half lined, half blank? or are there any blank pages (for maps, etc) at either the front or back?
E on Jan 2, 2020
BEST ANSWER: All the pages are in 2 columns
how many pages are in this book?
E on Jan 2, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The pages aren't numbered in the traditional sense--just by the groups of years as listed in the description (centuries, decades, etc., depending on the time period). You could probably use that description to determine exactly how many pages. The book itself is half an inch thick.
How is this book bound?
A shopper on May 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: When I bought mine it was not bound. I had it spiral bound with plastic front and back covers.

Perfect book of centuries for all ages!
We have tried making our own timelines and keeping timeline cards on the walls, etc. This format and layout is appealing to all my four older kids (ages 10-16). I'm recommended we use this at our homeschool community next year!
