The Vocabu-Lit series is a great way to introduce new words in a regular, yet not overwhelming way. I feel that it has helped my kids improve their standardized tests scores in this area.

I love the literature connection to the vocabulary words. The children learn new words in the context of meaningful text.

Love how these are set up. We really know the words by the need of the week. Just order the next one.

I've been impressed with VocabuLit's reading selections and words (many words have an Anglo-Saxon feel that complements our Latin studies and pack a descriptive punch that is good for including in compositions). I stopped using it b/c of time constraints and b/c I don't like some of the exercises.
However, as my children are begging me to switch from Spelling Workout to All About Spelling (which gives much less by way of word study) I'm going to try VocabuLit again, tweaking it as we go.
