What does your mind fill in when you see "______ Board? Perhaps Surfboard'? Cardboard' Whiteboard'? You're on the right track as long as someone else thought of it too! Blank Slate is all about filling in the blanks to make compound words or common phrases. You earn 3 points for one match, 1 point for multiple matches, and no points if your word is unique. Unlike many party games, there is no voting or thinking period, everyone is constantly engaged, rounds take very little time, and young players face no disadvantage beyond limited vocabulary. For 3-8 players. 20 minutes.

Pick one of over 250 Word Cue cards (with 500 total cues), write the word you think best completes the phrase and try to match it exactly to another players word without giving a single hint.

This game is simple and quick, so it can appeal to people who often opt out of game playing. It is fun for people of all ages and easy to adapt, (e.g., we added a new way to get points--if all but one person wrote the same word, that one person gets 5 points for creativity). The dry erase markers and slates are fun for kids, and they can be used to play other games that require pen and paper.

Fun Family Game
This game is fun for adults and kids that can write. (Even if they can't spell, as long as they know what they meant to write, they can play this.) You can add extra players by using any dry erase slate or even paper. This is a great game for sitting around the living room. No table needed. The dry erase markers that came with the game did not last that long, but they are easily replaced by any dry erase marker. My family really likes this game.

Great game even for those who don’t like games!

Great for remote playing!
During this time of pandemic, we've started "Family game night." As it happens, we're in 4 different states, but that doesn't really matter... we're in 4 different homes. Blank Slate is a wonderful game to play when we're all online. Fun, entertaining.
