I would call this a rather sturdy softish cover. It is made from a stiff cardboard with a little bend to it. Inside, you will find bright white pages with 4.5" blank space at the top for drawing pictures and 7 lines below for writing. The writing lines have dotted half-lines and measure 1cm with a space between writing lines. This particular book is made in America. 100 sheets. ~Sara

Teach students to use their imagination with this permanently bound composition book. Paper is smooth 15# writing paper with a blank upper half of each sheet, and grade 2 skip-line ruling on the bottom half. Design is intended for a sketch on top and a story about the sketch on the bottom. Covers are a hard white board that are printed in the traditional black marble pattern. Inside of covers is printed with class schedule and other useful information. Each book is produced with center-sewn and tape bound construction, not designed for sheet tear-out. Sheet size is 9.75" x 7.5" and there are 100 sheets per book. Made in Sri Lanka.

The classic writing tool had been upgraded. These brightly colored composition notebooks are now available with a Flex paper cover or the classic hard cover with several page count options. Line widths vary by grade level and feature a dashed center line for grades 1 to 3. First grade lines are 1.0" tall and 0.5" apart. Second grade lines are 0.75" tall and 0.375" apart. Third grade lines are 0.5" tall and 0.5" apart. Wide Ruled items feature 0.5" line height with no dashed center line.
