Description

How many of our National Parks have you visited? In the Parks Board Game, play the role of a hiker visiting some of our most beautiful parks to see landmarks, wildlife, and take photos. Collecting park cards requires players to gather resources during their hikes along different trails over four seasons of a year. Trail stops help hikers gain canteen cards which gives them resources such as sun, water, tree and mountain resource tokens or take actions such as exchanging resources for others that are needed to play a park card. There are also gear cards on the trail that can be purchased with sunshine tokens that give players advantages such as playing a park card with less resources, or substituting other resources for a required resource to place a park card in their camp area. The game ends when all four seasons have ended and all hikers reach the end of the trail. Points are derived from park cards, bonus cards and pictures that hikers have taken during their trek. The player with the most points wins! Not only is this a beautifully produced game with quality components, but it is also challenging to balance resources and opportunities presented each turn with the best strategies to win the game. For 1-5 players, with a playtime of 40 to 70 minutes.
