Product Description:

Take a peek into the mysterious world beneath your local pond or creek with the Aquascope. The scope offers a water-resistant main body, 5X magnification, and an LED light for dark or murky waters. A thermometer strip tells you the water temperature and a ruler mounted on the main body of the Aquascope helps you judge the size of those frogs, minnows and fish. After you run out of places to try it, flip open the 18-page activity journal and follow the guided observation activities including the difference between no magnification and 5X magnification, observe sediment in flowing water, research water organisms, observe and journal about water plants and animals you view. Requires 3 AAA batteries (not included). Jess

  • Category Description for Nancy B's Science Club Kits:

Although designed especially to appeal to girls, we love these kits because they include tools for observation along with a guided journal that helps them to use the tool and apply it to their own investigations. The viewers are all a step up from just a toy, with decent-quality plastic optics (or glass, in the case of the telescope) and additional tools built in to aid in observations (like a compass on the binoculars and a ruler on the aquascope). Each viewer is also packaged with a full-color, 22-page activity journal, which helps kids use their tool for a variety of guided observations and activities.

    Very well made
Bought for my 8 year old daughter for her birthday. She loves the outdoors and the water so what a better way to see underwater creations than with this perfect tool. Plan to use to help in study for science but also just for fun in the water. We have lots of creeks around us as well as access to ponds and lakes. Oh what fun!! Daughter is thrilled with:)
