Aligned to
Next Generation Science Standards, Primary Science from Marshall
Cavendish is designed to help children learn and enjoy science. Following the
5E instructional model, each course focuses on five stages of learning: Engage,
Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate. The grade level courses are divided
into two semesters, which are sold as two printed books: A and B. Visually
attractive with full-color illustrations, each Student Worktext provides
the student readings, end of unit projects and hands-on activities, scan icons
to online activities and videos, and a wide variety of student worksheets. The
student worksheets include vocabulary, recall questions, experiment recording,
comprehension questions, lesson reviews, and self-reflection and journaling.
Age-appropriate research projects are included. Parents may opt to use library
books instead of the internet for younger learners. Current discoveries in
technology are included. Worktexts are sold individually or in grade level
sets.
Purchase of
each semester course includes a digital access code to the MC EduHub.
When you log into EduHub, you will see the digital Student eBook and Home
Instructor’s Resource eBook. The user-friendly Home Instructor’s Resource eBook
includes the full student text with small icons. Icons vary per lesson
depending on grade and chapter. Icons include lesson plans and answer keys, teaching
power points, lesson “question banks” that may be used for assessments, and the
schemes of work which provides lesson overviews and include the time needed to
complete each lesson. Worth noting, some of the questions included in the
lesson question banks are AI generated and edited by the publisher. The Student
eBook is a digital copy of the print book that includes audio readings, video
clips, animations, and interactive activities. Primary Science is an
engaging, structured guided discovery approach into science that appeals to all
learning styles. From a secular publisher, the books contain references to
millions of years and an emphasis on climate change and environmental issues. Consumable,
but not reproducible.
