Phonics Museum (Veritas Phonics)

Description

Phonics Museum from Veritas Press is an award-winning, museum-themed phonics and reading program for Kindergarten and 1st Grade that makes learning to read fun, multi-sensory, and memorable.

Children join Percival the boy knight as they explore a “living museum” filled with beautiful art, history, and engaging stories. The program thoroughly teaches all phonetic constructs from basic letter sounds and blending to digraphs, silent consonants, and everything in between, all while incorporating music, art, games, and hands-on activities.

Why Families Love Phonics Museum

  • True multi-sensory learning: Combines colorful student workbooks, catchy songs (free MP3 download after purchase), art masterpiece flashcards, interlocking letter puzzle pieces, a reversible Pop-Up Museum game board with paper dolls, and exciting hands-on projects (apple prints for “A”, butter-making for “B”, monster masks for “M”, and more).
  • Beautiful, high-quality Primers: 10 engaging Kindergarten readers and 21 progressive 1st Grade readers with glossy covers and rich illustrations. Many stories draw from history and include gentle biblical or moral themes.
  • Built-in handwriting: Uses D’Nealian style with clear letter formation instructions. “Tube” letters provide helpful boundaries for young writers.
  • Additional skills: Reading comprehension, copywork, spelling, and simple composition are naturally woven into the lessons.
  • Low teacher prep: Detailed Teacher Manuals include step-by-step lesson plans with helpful icons and scripts.

New 2nd Edition

Both the Kindergarten and 1st Grade kits have been fully revised with fresh, energetic graphics and updated primers (especially in Grade 1 to better align with the Phonics Museum app). Note: The 2nd Edition is not compatible with the previous 1st Edition materials.

Grade Level Kits include everything you need: Teacher Manual, Student Workbook, primers, flashcards, game components, puzzle pieces, and more.

A Combo Kit is also available with complete materials for both Kindergarten and 1st Grade. Additional Student Sets (with or without primers) make it easy to teach multiple children.

Phonics Museum stands out for its creative museum theme, integration of art and history, and its ability to have children reading real books quickly while building confidence and a love for learning.

Note on Content: The program has a gentle Christian perspective. Biblical references are limited mostly to the early lessons and a few art cards.
