My Country, My State, My Responsibility is a country, state, and civics study written by Angela O’Dell. Beginning with an overview of the geography of the U.S., students study their home state, government and symbols, and state and city governments and symbols. While the emphasis is creating a recorded notebook of their learning, the course also includes a review project, and exams. Required resources are: National Geographic’s Kids Atlas of the USA, Eat Your Way Around the USA, and pictures for the region studied. The book's appendix includes supplemental suggestions for books, DVDs, and internet resources.
