Math-U-See Geometry emphasizes the vocabulary and practical applications of geometry, as well as traditional geometry with proofs. This includes lines, angles, area, perimeter, volume, Pythagorean theorem, axioms and postulates, congruency, and similarity. It also includes a brief introduction to trigonometric functions. At this level, Math-U-See manipulatives are not used. Instead, students will need the standard geometry tools: a protractor, compass, and straight edge. The Math-U-Set Geometry Set includes all the required components: Instruction Manual, Student Workbook and Tests, and the Online Instruction with Video. For families preferring to use a DVD for lessons, the Math-U-See Geometry DVD is sold separately.
