Category Description for Memoria Press First Grade Curriculum

Memoria Press offers a carefully developed and tested Classical Core Curriculum for Grade 1. Written to be used five days per week, families can easily adjust it to fit their needs. In first grade, systematic phonics and reading good books together are the focus, along with mastery of basic math skills. Language Arts skills, history/geography, and science are introduced through quality literature. Spelling is introduced. Penmanship, copywork, recitation, music and art are also included. To complete the Literature & Enrichment portion of the curriculum, you will need the Read-Aloud Program. The Read Aloud Books may be available at your local library or could be on your bookshelf already. Many resources are reused from the kindergarten level. If you are new to Memoria Press, you will also need the first grade New User Package.
