Moving Beyond the Page Literature Unit Studies are

traditional literature guides. Using popular children’s books as a springboard,
these unit studies teach vocabulary, grammar, writing, spelling, story
elements, and figurative language while incorporating meaningful science,
social studies, critical thinking, and creative art activities.
Unlike most literature programs that stay focused only on
the book, Moving Beyond the Page encourages students to explore the
story’s time period, culture, and themes through hands-on projects, research,
and creative expression. The program works especially well for imaginative,
gifted, or hands-on learners who thrive when language arts connects to the real
world.
Program Structure:

4–8: Parent-led with lots of
