The Math Mammoth Kindergarten Manipulative Package was carefully curated with the author of the program to provide a package of the key manipulatives recommended to aid instruction. Many other manipulatives are suggested, however, these were selected as the essentials to work the program. ~Rebecca

Now your youngest students can join the Math Mammoth experience! Math Mammoth Kindergarten is here! Following the same methodology as the upper levels, students experience the WHY behind math to better understand the HOW of math in 15–30-minute lessons. Unlike the other levels, kindergarten is not student independent and it is written to you as the parent. Teacher tips are found throughout—it is important to note that this is not a scripted program. Guidance is given for you to explain to your student in the best way possible for your learner. Speaking about the best ways for your student, many options are provided through games, activities, and student work for different types of learners. Games are found both in the text but also through the many digital resources available through links and QR codes throughout the books.

There are 8 chapters between the 2 Worktexts. Each chapter has a day-by-day breakdown schedule for you (about 1 page a day) totaling approximately 170 days of kindergarten math work. What you and your student will study includes:

  • Basic counting from 0-100
  • Addition and Subtraction within 0-10
  • Word problems
  • Identifying, describing, and composing basic shapes
  • Along with measurements, sorting, ordinal numbers, and counting coins

There is not a separate test book or answer key for the kindergarten level. There is only one cumulative test at the end of the year to assess students’ understanding before moving onward to Grade 1. Throughout the year, observe your students and see what areas they could benefit from additional practice through games, activities, and supplemental work and utilize the options provided. If an answer key is needed, parents can reach directly out to Maria on her website to request that pdf resource for this level. There are many recommended and optional manipulatives for this level. Links are provided in the book, or a convenient Math Mammoth Kindergarten Manipulative Package is available.

Math Mammoth Kindergarten establishes a foundation to build future math skills and sets students up for math success. ~Rebecca
