Description

Grade 7 Black & White Version covers the basics of algebra (expressions, linear equations, and inequalities), the four operations with integers and with rational numbers (including negative fractions & decimals), ratios/proportions/percent, geometry, probability, and statistics. What’s different or new in this 2025 edition compared to the previous 2014/2015 edition?

  • These topics were dropped from grade 7 and moved to grade 8:

  1. Pythagorean Theorem
  2. linear equations with a variable on both sides
  3. slope
  4. scientific notation
  5. proof for the angle sum of a triangle
  6. corresponding and vertical angles 

  • Comparisons with percent were removed completely
  • Chapter 2: Order of operations is now part of the lesson on dividing integers
  • Chapter 4: Repeating decimals now has its own lesson, and there is a more comprehensive coverage of types of calculations with rational numbers
  • Chapter 5: Now also covers inequalities where you need to divide by a negative number, and covers equations with fractions in 2 lessons
  • Chapter 6: Proportional relationships and scale drawings covered in more detail
  • Chapter 8: Covers angle relationships and drawing triangles with specific conditions in a more detailed, comprehensive manner
  • Chapters 1, 3, 7 and 10: No major changes
