Hooked on Phonics: Learn to Read is a popular,
engaging phonics program that teaches children to read in as little as 15–20
minutes per day. The program follows a consistent, easy-to-follow cycle:
children watch a short video lesson, complete fun workbook activities, practice
the new sounds and words, and then read a real story. Reward stickers provide
positive reinforcement at the end of each lesson.
Overview of Program Levels:
Preschool (Levels 1 & 2 - Early Emergent
Readers): Focuses on pre-reading skills including the alphabet, uppercase
and lowercase letter recognition, letter sounds, rhyming, and tracing.
Kindergarten (Levels 3 & 4 - Emergent

compound words, adding “-s” to words, sight words, and simple stories.
1st Grade (Levels 5 & 6 - Transitional

suffixes, two-syllable words, and more challenging stories.
2nd Grade (Levels 7 & 8 - Early Fluent
