The Happy Cheetah Reading System is a gentle,
multisensory K-2 phonics program designed to help children learn to read
successfully, even if they have struggled in the past. Created by Dr. Karen
Holinga, the author of this complete program uses the "Three C's" of successful
reading: Context (stories), Copywork (tracing and writing), and Calmness
(short, relaxed lessons that build confidence).
Students begin reading real stories from the very first
lesson while learning phonics in a natural, logical way. The program combines
reading practice, word building with magnetic letters, dry-erase activities,
games, and consistent copywork to create an enjoyable and effective learning
experience.
