Classical Science Series for the Grammar Stage

Description

The Classical Science Series for the Grammar Stage from Elemental Science provides a four-year science sequence that focuses on one subject each year. While there is a typical progression, the courses are flexible and may be swapped to best meet your family needs. Elemental Science provides a framework of science study built around a Teacher Guide and Student Guide. The core science "text" and experiments are found in quality resource books from publishers like DK, Usborne, and Kingfisher, which allows children to explore science through excellent reading material, experiments and hands-on projects, notebooking activities, and memorization. Narration and memorization are key learning modalities at this stage. Each course lists spine books that are scheduled in the lesson plans. Optional Additional resources are also listed and are made available for families that wish to explore a topic deeper or use as an alternative to a spine resource. 

Please note, some of the spine resource editions have an updated copyright date, and the page numbers may not match the Teacher Guide. Instructors, however, will be able to align topics easily. Easy to use Teacher Guides are flexible (2-Day or 5-Day schedule options) and include all the teacher directions for the course. The Student Guides include all the pages necessary to create a notebook that documents your student's science education. Written to be religiously neutral, the recommended resource books may reference evolution or an old earth timeline.
