Discovering French
As a high school French teacher, I have used this program in the classroom. It is well organized and up to date as far as the European Union of 2001. Lots of color photos and illustrations throughout are helpful and interesting. English is used throughout to teach the target language, and answers are not in the text. Currently, we are stocking only the student books, intended to be used with for the online FPE courses taught by French teachers, so please note that without the other components (audio and teacher's manual) this is not a great fit for a homeschooler looking for an independent French program. Level 1 is a good introduction to the language and culture, while level 2 expands on this. I love how they cover all francophone countries (French speaking) and not just France! Text is hardcover and about 400pp; workbook is consumable, 320pp, non-reproducible. ~ Sara
