Blank Canvas Hand Puppets

Ok, I admit that at first I was not impressed with these blank hand puppets (they look like a canvas drop cloth) but the more I played with them, the more potential I could see with them! They truly are a blank canvas for creativity, here are some of my ideas: Bible story puppets, sewing practice, kid-created stories, tie-dye, fabric markers or paints, act out classic literature that your student is struggling with, family member puppets, use them to teach manners and good character, practice your French lessons with a French puppet, have the puppet teach a math lesson and let your child address questions to the puppet, make a Grandma puppet from your child and give it as a gift/keepsake...well, you get the idea! Large enough for adults means that you may have to tie a ribbon (or a looser rubber band) around the wrist for little hands. These have very simple shapes. The mouth puppet basically looks like an oven mitt only the thumb side is the same size as the finger side. There are no arms to wiggle, just a mouth/head to make talk. The body puppets have no mouth to make talk, but has arms to wiggle with a pinkie and thumb, and a basic head to move with your middle three fingers. I think little kids would have an easier time with the mouth ones. ~ Sara
