Practices in Reading is a workbook series for about grades 1 to 8 providing your student
targeted reading comprehension instruction with questions that encourage their
skill development. The Teaching Guide with Answer key* is emailed to you
in pdf form (about 50 pages). Reading passages are colorful and
engaging and include a mix of fiction and nonfiction. Includes writing
summaries and vocabulary practice. Students learn to compare/contrast, identify
main idea/details & make inferences/predictions. The series is most
effective with student/teacher interaction (not independently), but there is little
prep for you. Just open and go!
*Each level also
requires access to Strategy Resources to open the lesson. It is just a
paragraph to open the lesson, but there is discussion around it in the Teacher
Guide. There is a link in each level’s description for easy free access to
