The Handwriting 1 Teacher Edition (4th edition) enables teachers to develop foundational handwriting skills in young students so that students can express themselves with fluency and accuracy.

This new edition has minor textual changes and updated images; therefore, it is compatible with the previous edition. The program uses a “PreCursive” technique when teaching handwriting. Oval shapes replace circles and slanted lines replace vertical to make the transition to cursive easier. Students are taught systematically as they learn to write letters and numbers while learning the sounds to the letters through songs. Uppercase and lowercase letters are taught at the same time. Eventually they move on to words and sentences. The teacher edition contains a reduced copy of the student pages and instructions to teach proper handwriting skills. Biblical application is integrated into the lessons. Phonics songs are included in the back of the teacher edition. The colorful student worktext contains all the handwriting practice pages.
