Description

The BJU Geometry Student Text begins each chapter section with an essential question and a list of skills that will be introduced. Integrating a biblical worldview, clear instruction and examples, along with visual elements, are presented for each new concept. Students are given plenty of practice exercises and cumulative review before wrapping up each section. “Technology Corner” exercises use dynamic geometry software applications to explore geometric concepts. Chapter Reviews help students prepare for tests as they review key concepts followed by review practice exercises. Although students could potentially use the student text as a consumable for some exercises, a separate notebook or graph paper would be better.  Softcover. 748 pgs. ~ Gina

Publisher's Description of BJU Press Geometry Student Text 5th Edition
Your student will develop an understanding of God's design as a basis for reasoning, modeling, and ethics in geometry by tackling real-world problems by creating and applying geometric models, and calculating the measurements for both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional figures.

Bob Jones 5th Edition Geometry, revised in 2025, presents geometry with a biblical worldview as students practice what they are learning in real-world applications. The twelve chapters include Foundations of Geometry, Reasoning and Proof, Parallel and Perpendicular Lines, Congruent Triangles, Relationships in Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Area, Circles, Surface Area & Volume, Transformations & Symmetry, Similarity, and Introduction to Trigonometry. This new edition integrates a four-step teaching cycle: Engage, Instruct, Apply, and Assess. Prior knowledge is used to encourage students to connect with new content (Engage); direct instruction and interactive strategies help expand knowledge (Instruct); leveled practice and STEM projects help students apply what they have learned (Apply); and skill checks and assessments evaluate student’s knowledge (Assess). New to this edition are more STEM activities, added vocabulary boxes, improved chapter and cumulative reviews to help with standardized testing, and the use of internet-based geometry software. Step-by-step solutions have also been added to the Activities Answer Key. BJU’s Homeschool Hub includes links and digital instructional aids to support lessons. The Homeschool Kit includes the Student Text, Teacher’s Edition, Activities Book, Activities Answer Key, Assessments, and Assessment Answer Key. This edition is not compatible with previous edition components. ~ Gina
