Publisher's Description of BJU Press Bible 12 Ethics Teacher Edition
The Ethics Teacher Edition enables teachers to nurture student growth in virtue and biblical thinking. The teacher edition itself will help teachers lead thoughtful discussions, evaluate popular misconceptions, and stimulate student reflection on controversial topics.
Category Description for Grade 12 Ethics

Ethics is a valuable course for students to understand good decision-making. Designed to be a year-long study, this new program from Bob Jones University helps direct students to make right decisions based on the wisdom of God in the Bible. But it’s not just about your decisions—it’s about who you are as a person. Studying how to be a virtuous person will hopefully lead to making virtuous decisions. The three units of the course cover the foundations for ethics, developing Christlike virtues, and a method for handling ethical issues. A few questions appear at the end of every lesson to discuss and think through. A review page is included after every chapter. Sensitive topics are discussed through a biblical perspective. If you desire a Christian perspective when studying ethics, this is a real treasure! Students learn what it looks like to do what God wants, through God’s Spirit, because of Christ, and for God’s glory. The homeschool kit includes a Student Edition, Teacher Edition, Activities book, Activities Answer Key, Assessments, and Assessments Key.

The Student Edition begins with an essential question to prompt students to think through the point of the chapter. The text is engaging as students learn to evaluate and think through what it means to be faithful Christians as they face ethical dilemmas. Photos, diagrams, and charts throughout the text aid in visual learning. “Thinking it Through” questions at the end of the lessons check reading comprehension and make good discussion topics. Chapter review includes vocabulary, Scripture memory, and thought-provoking questions related to the concepts in the chapter.

The spiral-bound Teacher Edition includes a lesson plan overview for each chapter. Teacher notes and strategies are wrapped around a reduced copy of the student text. Answers to the “Thinking it Through” questions and the chapter reviews are in the teacher edition. Scripture memory verses, charts, and other learning aids are in the back. Free enrichment resources are available through HomeschoolHub.com. Some of these resources include an online gradebook, instructional aid downloads, web link downloads, and lesson plan overviews.

A companion to the student edition, the Activities book provides additional activities to reinforce understanding of what students are reading. The goal of the activities is to help students practice ethics for themselves, apply an ethical model to situations, and analyze different ethical views. A prayer journal is also included in the back. The spiral-bound Activities Answer Key includes a copy of the Activities book with answers in red.

Assessments include thirteen chapter tests. The tests contain matching exercises, true/false questions, multiple choice, fill in the blank, short answer, and essay questions. Each test is about 4 pages long. Assessments Answer Key includes a copy of the tests with answers in red. ~ Gina
